Sucker rod manufacturing and inspection
Raw materials are inspected before production. Straightening, continuous upsetting and CNC machining prepare the rod body and ends, followed by fluorescent magnetic particle inspection before delivery.
01 Raw material and straightening
Inspect incoming material and straighten hot bars to support dimensional accuracy.

02 Continuous upsetting
Use the automatic continuous upsetting production line of Russian origin to form rod ends.

03 Magnetic particle inspection
Perform fluorescent magnetic particle testing on rod heads before delivery.

04 CNC machining
Machine sucker rod ends and threads using CNC equipment.

Sucker rod grades and dimensions
Ordinary sucker rods are manufactured to API Specification 11B in grades C and D. Grade H rods are also offered for well and larger-pump applications. Review grade, size and connection requirements against the operating conditions.

Rod configurations
Hollow sucker rods and additional rod configurations complement the standard rod range. Specify the required dimensions and coupling arrangement for the well’s geometry and service conditions.

Sucker rod swivel and rigid couplings
Swivel couplings introduce articulation into the rod string, helping transfer sinker-bar loading while reducing binding in deviated wells. Rigid couplings are also designed to reduce frictional drag and support an effective downhole pump stroke.
Standoff clearance creates a bearing surface for the lower string and reduces contact between rods, sinker bars and tubing walls. A swivel can rotate 360° around its centerline, helping reduce thread backoff; streamlined coupling profiles limit fluid friction and piston effects.
Sucker rod coupling accessories
Review the rod connection and coupling dimensions together when specifying the complete sucker rod string.
