TWO MOUNTING ARRANGEMENTS

API 610 OH1 and OH2: the structural difference

OH1

Foot-mounted casing

The casing is supported by feet below the shaft centerline. The impeller is overhung from the bearing assembly in a horizontal, single-stage layout.

OH2

Centerline-mounted casing

The casing is supported at the shaft centerline. This support arrangement allows casing thermal expansion about the shaft centerline and is considered when reviewing elevated-temperature duties.

Select the mounting arrangement together with the operating temperature, piping loads, installation constraints and maintenance requirements. The final pump configuration is reviewed against the specified duty.

Materials, sealing arrangements, inspection and testing requirements, and any required API 610 compliance are agreed during technical review for the selected pump.

The range serves light- and medium-duty process applications. Liquid properties, solids content, suction conditions and temperature determine whether a standard arrangement or one of the special designs is appropriate.
The offered scope covers horizontal single-stage overhung pumps and the listed special design options, subject to technical review.
